XSI-Wiki:XSIWiki portal
An XSI Wiki portal provides a way of grouping many articles that belong to a wider area of investigation and often spans beyond the scope of any one of the main XSI Wiki parent categories. XSI Wiki portals are pages intended to be the main pages for XSI-Wikians interested in a specific area of knowledge, helping both to find the information on the specific topic and to develop articles connected with it. They are meant to be used both by editors and by readers of XSI Wiki. A portal can also be used to present a series of "hand-picked" articles that are core to or of primary importance to a particular subject area. Also, they can help bring order to an over-crowded area or existing portal by subdividing them further.
As interest and contributions grow on XSI Wiki, the Portal namespace will be used to create new portals of information. To create a portal, simply create a new page using the Portal namespace. For example, to create a portal called Joy, you would type [[Portal:Joy]].
Please submit a proposal for building your own portal before undertaking any significant structural changes. Use this talk page to discuss your portal ideas. You should only create a portal if you intend to maintain it.
