Unable to initialize the cross thread notifier

Problem

When you start XSI, you get this error message: 

 "Unable to initialize the cross thread notifier"

Solution

  1. Exit XSI.
  2. Click Start > All Programs > Softimage Products > SOFTIMAGE XSI 6.5 > Command Prompt.
  3. In the XSI Command Prompt, type runonce.bat and press ENTER.
  4. After runonce.bat is finished, start XSI.
