Stlport vc6 not found may be due to wrong version of ilcore10dll

Article needs peer review

Symptom

XSI references a file called ilcor10.dll. This file must be in the p3 and p4 directory of the version of XSI that you use (for example, C:/Softimage/XSI_4.0/Application/binnt-x86-p3/ilcor10.dll). Ilcore then references other dlls such as stlport_vc6.dll. If XSI can not locate stlport_vc6.dll for instance, it may be because xsi is referencing a wrong version of the ilcor file.

Cause

Bad version of ilcor10.dll

Solution

Make sure that there is no ilcor10.dll present in any of the system path locations on your computer. Thefore, do a search under ilcor10.dll and remove/rename the ones that are not in the P3 or P4 directories of XSI.
