Shape animation keyframes are incorrect in animation editor

Article needs peer review

Symptom Shapes defined by using Store Shape key have been stretched manually in the mixer. The shapes are driven either direcly through the weight mixer panel or proxy parameters of the weight mixer panel. When the keyframes are set and you have a look at the animation editor you find that the keys do not match with the keyframes that you had actually set in your proxy parameter or weight mixer panel e.g: add a keyframe on frame 100, the key shows in the animation editor on say frame 2.3.

Cause

bug # 77925:XSI-keyframes set in the weight mixer panel(mixer) does not match the timeline in the AE if shape clips are scaled.

Solution

The following are the workarounds to the problem:

1) Access the AE by right clicking on the individual shape track in the mixer. The keyframes should be where you expect them to be.

2) Also for a more permanent solution...for each shape rightclick on the shape go to time properties>  time control>general

source clipping

in/out:1/(length of sequence)

and scale=1

You will have to redo your animation in this case

3) Use custom parameters (relative values or direct expressions) to drive the shape animation
