Scene could not be

Problem

When you try to open a scene, you get a truncated error message that looks like this:: 

X:\Projects\Examples\Scenes\SomeScene.scn could not be

Solution

  1. Exit XSI.
  2. Click Start > All Programs > Softimage Products > SOFTIMAGE XSI 6.5 > Command Prompt.
  3. In the XSI Command Prompt, type runonce.bat and press ENTER.
  4. After runonce.bat is finished, start XSI and try to open the scene.
