Polygon extrusion on curve produces unexpected results

Symptom
You draw a polygon, and then extrude the polygon on a curve. The result polymesh appears twisted, as the end polygon component is rotated in the X axis, thus flattening the polygon component.
Cause
This problem is a known a bug:

Solution
Duplicate the single polygon before executing the extrusion on curve operator. The result will be as expected.
