Particle simulation does not reset while in live mode
Article needs peer review
Symptom
This problem has been detected when using the RG_CreateObjectsForParticle.vbs script in a scene. However, the problem is not isolated to this scenario, and may manifest itself in other circumstances involving scene playback in Live execution state simulation mode.
After running a particle simulation using the RG_CreateObjectsForParticle.vbs script (attaching objects to particles), you decide to go back to the simulation startframe and playback the animation sequence, thereupon nothing occurs. The simulation does not replay, no matter how many attempts to playback the animation sequence and refresh the scene.
Cause
The problem is a know bug. Refer to the following bug information for tracking purposes:

Solution
<P>The workaround solution is simple:
- Open the Particle Cloud property editor.
- Uncheck and check the Pre-Collision Script-Enable option. This will force the simulation to reset.
- Then run the simulation.
- You must repeat this operation each time you wish to playback the sequence. To automate this operation, create a toolbar script button.
