My actual shape grid still won't collide properly!
Grids, being infintessimally thin, are difficult to collide with. A perfectly flat, default grid presents no thickness to the actual shape algorithm, and thus the collision data it generates will not work as expected. The best workarounds are either to use the bounding box collision type, or to add some small amount of thickness to the grid by using a scaled cube.
