Moving vertices without affecting texture
Article needs peer review
Question
When placing a Planar projection, if you move any vertices after the projection is applied, the texture moves. The vertices drags around the texture even though the texture is still bound to the planar projection.
How can one setup a projection so that you can add and move points along a surface without destroying the projection?
Answer
In the scene explorer, under the object node go to the Clusters>Texture_Coordinates>Texture_Projection>TextureOP. Drag and drop the TextureOp operator on top of the Movecomponent operator that is at the top of the operator stack. This will cause the texture to be projected, as desired, after the move point operation.
