Mouse pointer problem in the fx tree

Symptom
The mouse pointer flickers when you move it around.
Cause
You may be using a colored mouse cursor. Most graphics cards only support hardware monochrome cursors, and there will be a significant performance drop with other kinds of mouse cursors as the graphics card will draw them on top of the view in a separate pass.
Solution
Try using the default mouse pointer 'scheme' in the control panel.
