The dotXSI4MayaSL is the new Maya plug-in that exports Maya content into .dotXSI, which can then be imported into XSI.

Okino (http://www.okino.com/conv/pt4xsi2.htm) offers import/export tools for translating content between Maya and XSI, as well as other packages.

maxsi (http://sourceforge.net/projects/maxsi) is a promising open source project based on reading Maya ASCII (.ma) files
