Getting your XSI 6.0 License

An activated license is a license that is installed in the license server. When a license is activated, that means that you can start XSI using that license.

6.0x Licenses

If you already activated 6.0, you do not need to activate 6.0x.

6.02 and 6.01 use a 6.0 license. After you install XSI 6.02, you can run it using the 6.0 license you already have.

Any 6.0x version will use the 6.0 license.

6.5 requires a new license. See Getting your 6.5 license

Trial

The Setup program automatically downloads and activates a 30-day license. You don't have to do anything.

Essentials/Advanced Customers on Maintenance

When you install the License Manager, the Setup program will detect that there is 6.0 license available for you, and Setup will activate the license for you.

The last dialog of the Setup program has an Activate License check box. Leave that check box selected to allow Setup to get your license for you.

  2. During the install, select Local License Server (unless you are going to plug the dongle in on another computer).
  3. When the Setup finishes, do not allow Setup to activate your license or start XSI.
  4. Plug in the dongle
  5. In the New Hardware Wizard, do the following:
    1. Click No, not at this time.
    2. Click Install from a specific Location.
    3. Click don't search I will choose the driver to install.
    4. Select USB iButton holder for SPM
