Empty tiles on distributed rendering a scene containing particle sprites

Symptom On  distributed rendering a scene that is setup such that the particle shader shape is set to sprite, the slave machines do not render the particles and return empty tiles

Cause Bug # 63652  Cannot render a Particles system through mi2 file when particle Shape is a sprite.

Solution

The workaround:

Apply the sprite from the particle shader.

1)      Select the particle cloud and open the render tree (f7)

2)      Double click on the Particle_Sparks node and unselect ‘Get shape from particle type’.

3)      Shape Type= Sprite

4)      Sprite>Filename= Name of the image.

Limitation: You can have only a single sprite per cloud
