Displaying the particle bounding volume

Article needs peer review

Question By default, a particle cloud object does not display a bounding volume environment when viewed in any of the standard OGL display modes. Is there a way of displaying the particle cloud's bounding volume environment?

Answer

Yes there is! Just follow these steps:

  1. Select the particle cloud object.
  2. In the Render tree, connect a Phong shader to the input of the particle cloud's Material-Surface input.
  3. Draw a render region in the camera view to see the results. You will notice a cube appears representing the particle cloud's bounding volume environment.

Tip: You can transform the particle cloud object as you would any other object in XSI.
