Can Transition Weights Be Set to Values Outside of the 0.0 to 1.0 range?
Question: In the Animation Mixer the boundary limits for the Transition Weight parameter, set in the Mixer:Transition Property Page, are 0.0 to 1.0. Can Transition Weight be set to values lower than 0.0 and/or higher than 1.0?
Answer: You can set Transition Weights values outside of the 0 to 1 range by setting such keys in the Animation Editor, but doing so will not affect the shape interpolation as such (e.g. not an additive effect), because the range is clamped between values of 0 and 1.
Transitions weights is more a mechanism for mixing between shape clips, thus the 0 to 1 range (it makes no sense to have a transition of 110% for clip A and -10% clip B).
